Today we worked in the commissary and had the pleasure of working with Casey. Casey is a humorous, sci-fi nerd kind of a guy that filled our brain with a lot of life knowledge. We started the morning off baking and getting things prepped for orientation, which included the infamous UGA puppy chow (Go Bulldawgs). Take a peep at the pictures below to see just how much puppy chow we made! It was a tad bit messy but it was a great bicep workout to mix all that up. After preparing a plated lunch for a group on campus, we helped the catering department plate the meals. All the equipment they have to keep the food warm is pretty astonishing and it makes for an easy plating process. After that we worked in the sandwich shop with a lovely lady named Glenda… she is awesome! She is such a jitter bug that loves to dance and have a good time at work. The people here really make the kitchen a fun place to work and the time passes very quickly.
