Match Made in Michigan

Lucy Liu and I are in Big Rapids, MI for our internship at Ferris State University.

We've been here for about a week and a half and learned a lot. The people here are some of the nicest I have ever met, and Lucy and I are both enjoying our time immensely. Everyone has gone to extra lengths to make sure we are situated and comfortable as we begin working.

A few things we've been able to do are:
*Cater a luncheon for the Red Hat Society ladies
*Work in The Rock Cafe Dining Hall learning from all of the cooks and student workers
*Visit an asparagus farm with our wonderful coordinator, Brenda Walton, RD. We even got to pick it ourselves on one of their small tractors! I had no idea they grow like small trees from the ground
*Begin planning our Themed Meal which will be served in the dining hall in mid July
*Meet with all of the staff and managers on campus. They all are excited and willing to help us in any way possible.

We are both looking forward to the upcoming weeks of working and hopefully giving back to this University in some way!!
